Karabo, the only daughter and last-born of three siblings, originates from Herero Ward in Tsabong, and she is a Herero/Mbanderu descendant whose ancestors fled to Botswana from Namibia during the Battle of Waterberg in 1904.[citation needed]
Karabo, earned herself a title of "Beauty with Brains" from all corners of Botswana after her striking confidence and well defined intelligent answers during final interview session of the Miss Botswana Pageant.[1] She was crowned the Winner by her predecessor, Miss Botswana 2010 and the Miss World 2010 1st runner-up, Emma Wareus.[citation needed]
A well groomed beauty queen, Karabo was once crowned Miss Little Botswana First Runner-up in 2002 at the age of 12.
