Language Karawang or Sundanese Karawang is one of the types of speech Sundanese used by some people in Karawang (except Pakisjaya and Tirtajaya whose inhabitants speak the language Betawi and Cilamaya whose inhabitants mostly speak the language Javanese Indramayu[2]) and parts of the eastern region Bekasi as well as the eastern region Subang bordering Karawang.[3]
Distribution[edit]
Sundanese Karawang generally does not recognize levels because some areas Karawang were once part of Sultanate of Banten after conquering Sunda Kelapa from power VOC. Sundanese spoken in Karawang is almost similar to the Sundanese spoken in Bogor Regency the eastern and western regions Banten which generally do not recognize the level of language like other regions in West Java which uses the language level.[4]
