Karen Mattos (born February 12, 1996) is a Brazilian contemporary Christian music singer.[1][2][3]
Career[edit]
Mattos released her first album Meu Lugar in 2011, produced by Washington Negrao.[2][4] In 2012 at 16 years old Mattos received an invitation to participate as minister of praise at the Assembly of God Victory in Christ in Curitiba alongside pastor Silas Malafaia.[2]
In 2013, Mattos was selected to participate in the Jovens Talentos contest on the SBT television show,[5] making 18 appearances in the series and reaching the competition's grand final.[6] After her apparitions on television shows she signs a recording contract with Raul Gil's RG Gospel record label, becoming part of the cast of national artists.[7][8][9][2][10] and performed with Thalles Roberto, André Valadão, Voz da Verdade and Lauriete.[2] In July 2016 she released the EP Quebrando o Silêncio, covering songs by various artists including Aline Barros.[11] At the end of the year, she released the video clip Tua Graça[12] and a new album for RG Gospel, Escolhas (Album).[13]
