Karhoo is an American transportation aggregation and comparison application that aims to connect passengers with licensed taxis, black cars, and limousines globally. The company was founded by Daniel Ishag and is globally headquartered in Manhattan, New York, with offices in London, Singapore, Los Angeles and Mumbai.[1]

Establishment[edit]

Karhoo was founded in January 2015, conducting its Series A round later that year, as first reported by the Financial Times.[2] Karhoo has established partnerships with several global private hire car operators [3] including the United States' Carmel Cars and Dial7, Singapore's ComfortDelGro and Prime Cabs, and the United Kingdom's ComCab and Addison Lee. Karhoo does not employ its own driver force directly, with its drivers instead being employees of professional car companies, meaning they are regulated, insured, and paid as such.[4] Karhoo established its longterm global headquarters in Manhattan, New York in January 2016.[5]
