Ace Frehley and KISS collaboration

On July 31, 1993, Joe Lynn Turner headlined with Ace Frehley, where Cochran met Ace’s drummer Steve “Budgie” Werner. At the time, Frehley was looking for a bass player. Budgie suggested Cochran audition. After repeated requests, he agreed. Cochran, being a guitar player, had to borrow a bass from a friend to use in the audition. While auditioning, Frehley mentioned he needed a bass player who could sing. He sang “Strange Ways” and was hired.[1] He would later perform with the Ace Frehley Band in 2001 at the NY Steel Benefit Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and again in 2002 at Don Hills in New York City.

In 1996, while KISS was in the process of preparing for their next studio release and reunion tour, Cochran and Ace co-wrote Into the Void, which appeared on the 1997 KISS album Psycho Circus[2]

Later career

In 1998, Cochran joined Eric Singer’s (KISS) band, the Eric Singer Project (ESP) along with Bruce Kulick (KISS) and John Corabi (Motley Crue, The Scream), recording the album Lost and Spaced. [3] The group performed live several times, including an Australian tour in the same year.

In 2000, Cochran appeared as a touring guitarist for Sebastian Bach at the Milwaukee Summerfest and a show in North Dakota.

In 2004 he began working on his own project called [4]. The record also features songs Cochran co-wrote with Robert Mason (Lynch Mob, Warrant). Voodooland performed several New Jersey dates, including two appearances in Tokyo Japan at Club Phase.

In 2005, Cochran reunited with Nuclear Assault on their 21-date European tour, including several US shows. In late 2005,[5]

In 2008, Cochran joined Hindenberg, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, with Felix Hanneman (Zebra), Steve “Budgie” Werner (Ace Frehley Band), and vocalist Mike McEwan. The group performed frequently in Long Island and upstate New York through 2014. At the same time, forming the band, Rage and Beyond, with vocalist Ed Terry, drummer Bobby Marks, and bassist Paul Dileo, shortly thereafter the album “Corporate Nation” was recorded and released in 2009.
