Kashmira Chakraborty is an Indian Vocalist, Musicologist and Writer. She received her PhD Degree from Rabindra Bharati University, West Bengal. She is best known for making remixes and mashups. In the past few years, she has established her musical career primarily through Social Media.[1][2]

Early Years

Kashmira started singing when she was just a child. She completed her primary education from Burdwan and started her further studies from Rabindra Bharati University. She was trained in music initially by Banashree Sengupta. But because of a vocal cord disorder, she was unable to sing for around 18 years.

Career

After 18 years she again started to sing in various concerts and later started her career on YouTube as an artist[3] with the help of her son Sagnik Chakraborty. She started to make remixes and mashups. She is best known for Fagunero Mohonay (Remix)[1], Abaro Boisakh, Disco Deewane(Reprise) and many more.

Books

She has written a few books, one of which is published as "The Maestros[4]".
