Kasra Zahedi (Persian: کسری زاهدی; born May 26, 1990 in Tehran) is an Iranian vocalist, songwriter, and musician.[1]
Early life
Kasra Zahedimazandarani, with the artistic name Kasra Zahedi, started music with a keyboard player at a very young age.[1]
He is the first child of the family and he has two younger brothers.[2] He is the son of Alireza Zahedi, a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war.[2] His encourager in singing was his interest in music, and he started learning music at a very young age.[2] In his teens he was also interested in sports in addition to music, and he had a semi-professional career in wrestling, having won first place in the tournament in Tehran province.[2][3] His father separated from his family because of the damage caused by the explosion in the war.[2][1] Kasra started learning music and singing when he was 10, and his favorite instrument is piano.[1][2][4]
Artistic life
Kasra Zahedi entered the professional world of music in 2007, at the age of 17.[5][1][6] Kasra started music with a keyboard player without a master, and with the help of his hearing aids he would play the melodies he heard, then at the age of 10 he began to learn principles of music and piano under the supervision of Mr Bahrami.[7][2][1]
At the age of 17, Kasra and some of his friends released an album that he had arranged the songs for himself, and after two years he made his own solo song. He released his first solo song in 2014, then he released songs such as "ASHEGHE BARON", "BAVAR NADARAM" and "CHEJORI YADET RAFT" that were not very well received.[2][1][7][8]
In 2019 he wrote a song called "MOO BE MOO" for Reza Bahram, and this song was nominated for the best title song in Hafez festival. The same year he arranged "SHABHAYE BAD AZ TO" for Reza Bahram for the Mamnooe TV series.[2][1][9][10]
The song "Moo be Moo" from Reza Bahram with Kasra Zahedi's songwriting and the song "SHABHAYE BAD AZ TO" from Reza Bahram with Kasra Zahedi's arrangement were used as the title song in Mamnooe series.[1][2][9][10] It's not the only work he has done with famous people in music; he has also worked for some singers such as "Yasee Binam" in his career.[1]
In 2019 he released a song called "ZABANAM LAL" and after that he announced a contract with Arad Concert company, then he became famous and known among people.[1][11]
Other activities of Kasra Zahedi on official TV of Iran can be mentioned as "Tarane Baran" song on channel "SHOMA" of IRIB, where "ZABANAM LAL" song by Kasra Zahedi was selected as the best song of the week.[12]
