Katia Moochooram is a Mauritian model who reigned as Miss Earth Mauritius 2015.[2][3] She entered the modeling industry at a very young age; according to an article published in LeDEFIMEDIA (a Mauritian newspaper), she was only 17 when she started modeling as a hobby while pursuing her education.[4]
Associated with prominent brands such as Patrick Mavros, Guess, and Michel Herbelin, she has established herself as one of the most successful supermodels in Mauritius. She collaborated with the Inega model agency in Mumbai, India, which she described as a turning point in her career. According to an article in lemauricien, she said she was compared to model Viveka Babajee and people said she was the next Mauritian model to be noted in India after Babajee. Moochooram found that comment flattering, as she considered Babajee an icon.[5][6]
