Katrina Bello is a visual artist known for monochromatic charcoal drawings of natural textures and patterns.[1]
Biography
Katrina was born in Davao City, Philippines and lives in Montclair, NJ. She founded North Willow, an artist-run exhibition space in Montclair, NJ.[2]
Katrina received a BFA from the Mason Gross School of The Arts at Rutgers University and a MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2013.[3][4]
Career
Bello's drawings are "informed by observations and experiences of natural environments encountered during the course of her travels and migration."[5]
Bello's work has been included in exhibitions at the Montclair Art Museum, NJ, The Visual Arts Center of NJ, El Museo Cultural, NM, MO Space and West Gallery in Metro Manila, Philippines. She's had residencies at Millay Arts, NY, Tides Institute & Museum of Art, ME, Art & History Museums[6], Brush Creek Foundation For the Arts, and Tusen Takk.[7]
