Kayslee Don Collins is a singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA.

Early life

Originally from San Diego and born on June 6, 1991, Kayslee worked as an actress from age 5 and appeared in multiple television commercials.[2][3]

Playboy

Kayslee relocated to Los Angeles and worked as a model, earning notice with her February 2015 appearance in Playboy magazine. "I didn't dream PLAYBOY would be where I'd end up," Kayslee says, "but it's perfect, because I idolize Playboy icons like Jenny McCarthy, Anna Nicole Smith and especially Marilyn Monroe. I grew up worshipping Marilyn, and like her, I love being open about my sexuality. From my music to these pictures, everything I do has a sexual edge. It's a huge part of me."[2]

Music career

Collins began to pursue music in 2018. She collaborated with writers and producers, including Joe Keefe of Family of the Year – who produced and co-wrote her 2019 debut EP, Selfish Baby.[4]

Tyler Blake, one half of the electronic duo Classixx, remixed Collins’ single "Sixteen" as part of his debut solo project, oceans1985. The track was also featured on the Netflix series, Never Have I Ever.[5]

In 2021, Kayslee released a cover of the ever-powerful Carly Simon hit "You're So Vain", produced by Mister Amiss (Gavin McDonald).[6]

Kayslee also set her sights even higher with songwriting credits on the soundtrack for the Amazon Prime Video miniseries, Daisy Jones & the Six. From the miniseries soundtrack, Pitchfork labeled Collins’ "The River", "A propulsive, full-bodied production, it deploys an unabashed melody and succinct metaphors, relishing a moody post-chorus and roomy instrumental breaks."[7]
