Kazeem Ayobami Bolarinwa (born 3rd November, 1989), is a Nigerian businessman, politician and philanthropist who is also a social media influencer popularly known as Ibadanpride. He attended Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria.[1] At age 29, Bolarinwa was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Oyo State on Youths and Sport.[2][3]
Early life and education[edit]
Bolarinwa was born to a businessman and humanitarian, Lukman Bolarinwa and Bukola Kazeem of Popoyemoja, Ibadan. In 1998, his secondary education started at Urban Day Grammar School, Ibadan, before leaving for Stars Comprehensive College, Olode Ibadan, and finished up at the Unity School Ejigbo, Osun State in 2006. In 2010, he gained admission to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU, Zaria) where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and graduated with a First-Class (Hons).[1] In 2020, he got his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU, Zaria).[1]
Business career[edit]
In 2016, Bolarinwa established his business consulting firm, Ireign Classique Consult Nigeria, where he served as the CEO, lead consultant and training facilitator for a period of two years before delving into politics and good governance advocacy in 2018.
Bolarinwa is a member of the Chartered Institute of Corporate Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria (CICMCN).[4]
Political career[edit]
In 2018, he joined the People’s Democratic Party. He convened a movement called Deliver Oyo. Deliver Oyo is a movement geared towards preaching good governance, youth participation in politics and advocating for leadership. With this platform, he was able to traverse the zones of Oyo State and all tertiary institutions in the State to preach his political philosophy. On the 18th of October, 2019, the executive Governor of Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde appointed Bolarinwa as his Special Assistant on Youths and Sports.[3][2]
Bolarinwa has also acted in the following capacities:
- Member, Oyo State Environmental Task Committee: December 2019- July 2020.[5]
- Member, COVID-19 Decontamination and Containment Committee: May – August 2020.[6]
