Kazi Sharif Uddin

Kazi Sharif Uddin (Bengali: কাজী শরীফ উদ্দিন) also known as Colonel Kazi Sharif Uddin was the Principal of Govt. Mohammadpur Model School & College. He was a colonel in Bangladesh Army.

Colonel Kazi Sharif Uddin, Infantry was born on January 1, 1970, in Magura district of Bangladesh. He joined the Bangladesh Army on 16 June 1992 while studying BA (Hons) in Geology and Mining at Rajshahi University and was commissioned in the Infantry Corps. He was a cadet of BNCC in Rajshahi University. In addition to various regimental appointments, he received several command and staff appointments at home and abroad. He was a member of the Bangladesh Army at UNAMSIL and MONUSC from 2001-2002 and has participated in several courses in the Bangladesh Army and various government and non-government organizations at home and abroad. He was working in SSF in his career. In addition, as a general educator, he earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the National University. Colonel Sharif has a wide range of policy-making and administrative management in various educational institutions. He has served as Secretary / Vice-President of Sylhet Cantonment Public School and College, Ghatail Cantonment Public School and College and Rangpur Cantonment Public School and College. At present Colonel Sharif is the Principal of Government Mohammadpur Model School and College. Due to his dynamic and outstanding leadership, the institution has gradually become an icon in the education system of the country. Inspired by the current government's "Digital Bangladesh", he has taken all the steps to digitize the organization. Moreover, he has undertaken both academic and infrastructural development activities to bring about a qualitative change in his organization. Double-shift of the academic building, upward expansion of the main building, construction of a mosque, day branch waiting room, installation of Sheikh Russell Digital Lab, construction of the auditorium. As a skilled leader, Colonel Sharif received advanced training in Australia in 2016 on 'Strengthening Capacity for Officials of the Ministry of Education and other Organizations'. He also received E-Government Leadership from the National University of Singapore in 2015 and advanced training from the University of Kuala Lumpur in 2016 as a skilled administrator. During his tenure, the institute was recognized as the best educational institution in Mohammadpur police station twice in a row in National Education Week 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2016, the organization was recognized as the "Best Managed Institution" among more than five hundred educational institutions in 20 countries around the world at the International School Award Dubai 2018. Colonel Sharif personally won the "Best Principal of the Year" award. Led by Colonel Sharif, the organization again won the "International Icon & Best School of the Year" medal at the "International Multidisciplinary Conference on Commerce, Management & Social Science" held in Bangkok, Thailand. And Colonel Sharif again won another International Medal in 2019 (Bangkok, Thailand), International Educator, and Best Principal of the Year 2019.
