Kester Rajan (born on January 20, 2002) is an Indian contemporary Christian music singer[1] and songwriter from India. Kester was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He grew up listening to Christian music by artists like Aaron Shust and Matt Redman. Kester was given his first guitar by his father and learned to play the guitar from his music teacher. He found a passion for music at a very young age. He started making music with his friend. He has released several worship songs over the last few years[2].
Early Life
Kester was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on January 20, 2002 to Rajan Andrews and Mary Jageera[3]. He has two younger brothers, Godwin and Gladson. His parents recognized his musical talent, and he grew up taking Guitar lessons. He finished his high school studies at Seventh Day Adventist High School Thirumala and later joined St.Mary's Higher Secondary School and finished his higher secondary education there.
Career
He finished his high school studies. It was at that point that he started spending a lot of time making music with his friend Kenric Adam[4]. They started to perform in churches and various community programs. They set up a home studio to record songs. Kenric was his pianist and helped to prepare music for Kester's first song, Just As I Am, and they recorded and released that song in 2019, which was the first step into his music career. Later he released several worship songs.
Kester and his friends formed a worship band called Divine Lights and began to make music. They have released a few worship songs that have reached out to many hearts longing to worship God. Kester is now part of the music band Divine Lights, and even while making songs with the band, he also takes the time to make songs with his pianist, AdamAudo.
