Kevin "KJ" Jones was born in St. Louis Missouri on May 28, 1973. He is the owner and sound engineer at 16 Bars Recording Studio in Jackson MS. He graduated from Calloway High School in 1992. [1][2]Engineer/Producer Kevin "KJ" Jones won the award for Studio of the Year at the Jackson Hip Hop Awards in January 2015.[3] Kevin was awarded the Studio/Engineer of the Year Award at the Mississippi Hip-Hop Culture Awards in Jackson MS on October 26, 2019.[4][5]In 2020, Kevin "KJ" Jones was awarded with the Studio/Engineer of the Year award by the Hood Idol Tour.
