Kevin Scott Hamilton (born March 26, 1955) has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 2013. He is a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy.

Hamilton was born in Wenatchee, Washington, to Norman Russell and Kay Hamilton; his father was not active in the LDS Church and his mother was not a member. Shortly after his birth, his mother had an experience that led her and her husband to seek out the LDS Church missionaries and become fully involved in the church.

Hamilton was a full-time missionary in the Switzerland Geneva Mission from 1974 to 1976. Upon returning home, he began his studies at Brigham Young University (BYU). He met Claudia Keysor at BYU and they were married in the Los Angeles California Temple in 1978. They are the parents of six children.

Hamilton graduated from BYU in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in business management. He went on to earn a master of business arts degree from the University of Washington in 1982. He spent his professional life as a CEO in the telecommunications industry. He has a background in venture capital and private equity.

Hamilton has served in the LDS Church for many years. His church service includes bishop, stake high councilor, stake president, and president of the Belgium Brussels/Netherlands Mission. At the time of his call to be a general authority, he was serving as a church public affairs director in Southern California.

On April 6, 2013, Hamilton was sustained by church members as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy. In August 2013, he began serving as a member of the presidency of the church's Africa Southeast Area.[1][2]
