Keyrenter is an American brand that provides residential property management and other real estate brokerage services to property investors and landlords.[1][2]

The “Keyrenter” trademark, owned by two Utah real estate brokers, Aaron Marshall and Nate Tew, was registered on June 11, 2009, with the start of Keyrenter.com. After developing a duplicate business model with an emphasis on technology, convenience, and customer service, the business was franchised in 2014. This was later branded as Keyrenter Property Management in 2015. On April 12, 2017, it became known as Keyrenter.[3]

In 2017, the Keyrenter brand was ranked as the #25 new franchise by Entrepreneur magazine.[4]

As of March 2018, Keyrenter has 30 franchise offices within 14 states.[3] Keyrenter Franchise allows franchisees to offer residential property management services in their local area.

History[edit]

In 2007, Keyrenter's current CEO, Aaron Marshall, and his business associate, Nate Tew, formed a partnership and opened Premier Management of Utah.

In a news release dated June 16, 2014, Keyrenter Property Management announced the decision to franchise. On this decision, Marshall said, ”We’ve spent years engineering our systems and proven business model. It’s time to expand. Because real estate requires intense relationship building and knowledge of local markets, selling franchises and supporting owners is the best way to share our brand and grow our business.”[5]

The Keyrenter brand now has franchisees in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.[3]

Services[edit]

Keyrenter allows franchisees to run their own Keyrenter businesses, which offer residential property management tools to aid landlords in the upkeep of their properties.[6]

Notable Members[edit]

  • Aaron Marshall, a real estate investor, agent, broker, and radio personality, serves as CEO.[5]
  • Nate Tew serves as COO.[1]
