The company was founded in 2015 byDr. Nikhil Sikri, Sneha Choudhry and Akhil Sikri in Bangalore, and now has properties in ten cities with its headquarters in Bengaluru.

The company was started by Dr. Nikhil Sikri, Sneha Choudhry and Akhil Sikri in July 2015, with a capital of Rs. 30 lakhs.[3] They first began operations in Bangalore and quickly expanded to other cities which have a significant student and working crowd such as Chennai, Gurgaon, New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Kota, Coimbatore, and Mumbai. They currently have 300+ properties in 10 cities and are the largest player in the category.

Standard[edit]
Zolo Standard properties are standalone buildings with 60-80 rooms that have amenities such as WiFi, TV, Food, Laundromats, Housekeeping etc. This is the pocket-friendly variant location that is provided by Zolo.[4]
Select[edit]
Zolo Select are towers in gated societies which have been taken over by Zolo, where one has amenities such as swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, gym, home theatre, etc. In addition to WiFi, TV, Food, Laundromats, Housekeeping.[5]
Funding History[edit]
In January 2017, Zolo raised ₹26 crore in their Series A funding. Their major investors were venture capital investors Nexus Venture Partners. In January 2019, Zolo raised over ₹214 crore in its Series B funding[6] led by Nexus Venture Partners, IDFC Alternatives and Mirae Asset.
