Early life

Originally from a sleepy town called Shopian in Kashmir, Khalida worked with J&K Bank and was transferred in Mumbai with the same bank when Aditya Chopra from YRF Films spotted her. Khalida originally wanted to pursue her career in Banking, but after an offer from YRF which has launched bollywood stars like Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, she decided to take the plunge in Bollywood from a stable banking career. She studied in Kashmir and graduated from Kashmir University with an honors in Economics.

While her initial debut, Kismat was broadcasted for six months, she was noted for her strong natural acting prowess and beauty by several write ups in Times of India and other online media houses which made her an immediate industry sensation leading to a surge in commercial offers. Thereon, she went on to do a number of commercials for Indian as well as overseas brands and rejected some film offers as it did not meet her ethical standards, being a practicing Muslim she is known to keep her ethics first as noted from her personal social profiles. Whilst doing that she has actively participated in a number of online social ventures and is active on her political opinions. She got back on TV with Razia Sultan and Siya Ram on Star Plus however is yet to deserve the kind of roles which does justice to her potential.
