Khalifa - The Ruler is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Vysakh starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the titular role. This film marks the reunion of Vysakh and Prithviraj Sukumaran after Pokkiri Raja. The film is written by Jinu V. Abraham, who scripted Sukumaran's mass entertainer Kaduva, while the music is composed by Jakes Bejoy.[1]

Development
Khalifa was announced on 16 October 2022, which was Prithviraj Sukumaran's birthday, by Sukumaran on his Twitter handle saying that his next project was with director Vysakh.[2]
Filming
The film will start rolling by mid-2023 after Prithviraj completes his current projects. Reports say that Khalifa is going to be extensively shot in various locations of UAE, Nepal and Kerala. Popular music composer Jakes Bejoy will be handling the background score of this Prithviraj starrer and Sathyan Sooryan is roped in as the cinematographer. Shameer Muhammed will be handling the cuts of Khalifa and the art department will be managed by Shaji Naduvil.[3][4]
