The Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod Mihngi is one of the constituent units of the Presbyterian Church of India. It has its headquarters in Shillong, Meghalaya. It has 576 churches and 294,320 members mostly among the Khasi people.

History[edit]

It was formed from the erstwhile Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod and was constituted on the 17th. November, 2002 by Rev. H. Remthanga, Moderator, General Assembly, Presbyterian Church of India at the Jowai Presbyterian Church, Jowai Riwar Presbytery where delegates and members from all the presbyteries of the Synod have come together to worship and glorify God.[2]

  1. The Thomas Jones Synod Mihngi College, Jowai.
  2. The KJP Synod Mihngi Higher Secondary School, Jowai.
  3. The KJP Synod Mihngi Secondary School, Pongtung (now Upgraded to KJP. Synod Mihngi Higher Secondary School, 2019)
