Kilgai is a dubious genus of extinct protosirenid sea cow from the Chamalang Group of Pakistan. The type, and currently only, species is K. moolakharzani, named by Malkani (2019).^[1]

Discovery and naming[edit]

The holotype is MSM-1065-K, a single tooth from the Shaheed Ghat shale of the Chamalang Group.^{[citation needed]}

Kilgai moolakharzani was named and described by Malkani (2019).^[1]

Classification[edit]

Kilgai was classified within Protosirenidae by Malkani (2019), and was considered to be closely related to Desmostylus.^{[citation needed]}
