Samuel Wellings (born November 23rd, 1997), known professionally as Kim Dracula, is an Australian musician and TikTok star. He is well known for his trap-metal cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi", which went viral on TikTok in late 2020. The song has since been used in over 3 million TikTok videos. He has 3.2 million TikTok followers to date. Kim Dracula started gaining a much larger audience after a making a TikTok duet with Bella Poarch of him singing.
Career[edit]
On September 24th 2020, Kim Dracula collaborated with fellow musical artist Ricky Desktop, and released his first song, "The Bards last note".
Kim Dracula made his Billboard chart debut thanks to his cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" which enters Hot Rock & Alternative songs. [2]The remake earned 1.5 million U.S streams and sold 1,000 downloads in the week ending Dec. 31. It has been featured in over 3 million TikTok clips to date. He goes by the Stage Name "Kim Dracula" which he has confirmed is based off a Deftones song. He makes Trap metal and emo rap. His version of "Paparazzi" currently has 40 million streams on Spotify.
Wellings is the lead singer in an Australian experimental metal band named 'Jesterpose'. The band has only ever officially released two songs, which feature on the EP 'COVID-19'. They have unreleased songs that have only been played during live shows.
Wellings was the drummer in an Australian folk band called "The Dead Maggies" in 2015
In 2012, Wellings was the drummer in a rock band called "Harwood Band".
Personal life[edit]
Not much is revealed about Wellings' personal life, but what is known is that he has been vegan since 2015. He comes from a musical family. His brother, Thomas, plays guitar and his mother, Lisa, is a vocal coach based in Hobart, Australia. Many are confused about his sexuality, and despite him never announcing his sexuality publicly, Wellings has had girlfriends in the past.
