Early Life[edit]

Daramola was born on June 11, 1989, in Lagos, Nigeria. The second of 5 children, he grew up in a Christian home and one filled with music. His mother Gbemi Olaleye is a seasoned vet in the Nigerian Gospel Music industry courtesy of her affiliation to Highlife music crooner Ebenezer Obey and her mid 90's hit record Leta Ayo, a song that became the household number in the Yoruba speaking parts of the country. This environment was key in Daramola's development of a taste in music[2]. Between 2004 and 2005, Daramola and his family moved to the United Kingdom, and back to Nigeria, a time in his life that he would be exposed to sounds other than what he grew up listening to in Lagos. A Year and a half later Daramola was on his way to study his Bachelor and Masters degrees in the United States, a place he would eventually call home.

While in college, Daramola caught the ear of Grammy Award Winning Rapper Lecrae, and a myriad of other artists within the emerging Christian Hip Hop music space. He won a GMA Dove Award for his production Lecrae's 2011 album, Rehab: The Overdose. in 2019 Daramola released his sophomore album "It's a Double Pleasure to Deceive the Deceiver"[3]. In 2020 Daramola was featured on Spotify's music series "How They Made It[4]" alongside frequent collaborator DJ ShiShi. He was also the main feature on "Strange Without You"[5], the third single on German DJ and Producer, Tensnake's sophomore album, which was released on Armada Records.
