The Kingsworth International School is a private international day school in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.  Kingsworth offers an internationally- recognised programme for children from aged 11 to 18. The school delivers a wide range of subjects appropriate to any International School, including all the core subjects from Grades 6, 7 and 8 (Key Stage 3) and a varied and exciting choice at IGCSE, AS Level, A Level as well as the High School Diploma.

Kingsworth Bilingual Primary School offers a bilingual education in French and English and caters for children aged between 3 and 11.

Both schools are recognized by the state as private school 'hors contrat' and are under the supervision of the Paris Education Authority.

History[edit]

The school was founded in 2014.

In September 2017, Kingsworth started to offer the High School Diploma to students from Grade 11 upwards.  The High School Diploma is a baccalaureate programme. It is an alternative to the A-level program for students who are not yet ready to choose one specific area of study.

Campuses[edit]

The school is based over two campuses.  The bilingual Primary School is located at rue Copernic in the 16th arrondissement and the Secondary School is located at rue de Passy also in the 16th arrondissement.

Curriculum[edit]

Learning at the secondary school level is divided into three ‘Key Stages’. Key Stage 3 is a three-year course in which students are taught a broad curriculum with an emphasis on exploration and investigative learning. Students go on to study IGCSE courses throughout their two year Key Stage 4. Finally, Key Stage 5 is a two year course in which students have the choice of whether to complete a High School Diploma or A Levels.

The programme is broadly based on the English National Curriculum.

Accreditation[edit]

The school is accredited by three major exams boards to deliver their specifications and courses.

Cambridge International Examinations are the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications, taken in over 160 countries and recognised by universities, education providers and employers globally.

Edexcel is part of the leading awarding organization Pearson group who offer a range of academic qualifications in over 70 countries worldwide, and delivers international examinations for Key Stage 3, IGCSE and International A-Level.

AQA qualifications are highly valued by employers and universities and enable young people to progress to the next stage of their lives.
