Kiran Rai (born 12th February 1992) is an English political and sports journalist.[1], writer and supermodel[2] and theatre producer. He began his career modelling[3] for a clothing company at Duke Clothing[4] in Nottinghamshire and then produced and stared in a one-man show called Good Things Happen To Good People[5], that appeared in the West End Soho Theatre and then got developed into an of-broadway theatre performance at the Richmond Shepard Theatre[6] in New York. In 2018, he was appointed to be the head of sports events at Daily Sport[7] UK newspaper. His overall experience has resulted in writing 956[8] news articles for global newspapers. Kiran also conducted interviews with 100 of the Most Influential People in Asia, published by Associated Press[9], 300 of the Most Influential People in Asia published by Khaleej Times[10], 400 of the Most Influential People in Asia published by Times of India[11] and 500 of the Most Influential People in Asia published by Bollywood Hungama[12] with an aspiration to break the Guinness Book of Records[13] in 7 different countries including the Indian music composer and Oscars winner AR Rahman[14]. In 2021, he worked as a political news reporter for Daily Express[15], New York Press[16] and regularly freelances for The Sun[17] and Daily Mirror[18].
As a journalist, Rai has reported at 57 international sports events[19] such as British Open[20], NBA[21], Wimbledon[22], NFL[23], FIFA World Cup[24], Athletics World Cup[25], Ride London[26] and many more. In 2020, he was an accredited journalist at the Expo 2020 Dubai interviewing royal family members, political leaders and sports personnel[27]
Rai worked on breaking news stories and exclusive political interviews involving UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson[28] at 10 Downing Street, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan[29], Mayor of London Sadiq Khan[30], President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa[31], Royal Family of South Korea[32] and several other world leaders. He was also elected as the fundraising officer[33] for the Twickenham Labour Party.
