Kirkuk Satellite Channel (Kurdish: کەرکووک تيڤى‎, romanized: kirkuktv) is a satellite television station in Iraq, broadcasting since 21 March 2004. It belongs to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and is based in Kirkuk.[1]

On 21 March 2004, it started broadcasting locally on Kirkuk TV. Kirkuk Sports Channel[2] and Kirkuk FM became part of Kirkuk Channel.[3] On 3 September 2011, Kirkuk TV became a satellite channel.

The channel broadcasts programs in Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen and Syriac.[4]

History

Kirkuk Satellite Channel, a media television channel belonging to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, started broadcasting locally on 21/3/2004 from Kirkuk TV. Our broadcast reached 12 hours, and Kirkuk Sports Channel and Kirkuk FM became Kirkuk TV. On 3/9/2011, Kirkuk TV took the first step. Today we will be at your service from the website of Kirkuk TV. We will open our doors and be guests of all Kirkuk residents and those who love Kirkuk.

We will join our pens and abilities with the pens and abilities of intellectuals, writers, artists, and politicians of Kirkuk for peace and unity. We have made the lives of the communities our goal and we will make our present their window to a future full of humanity. We are the defenders of all the rights of all communities in Kirkuk, we are the bridge of crossing from one stage to another and a bright future, we are the mirror of different views and opinions. We carry the message of working together and accepting each other. We are the platform to convey the protests and demands of the people of Kirkuk to the authorities. We were created to serve the people and we will be in the forefront of all various centers in Kirkuk for the development and production of a new and vibrant culture in different aspects of life.

We consider ourselves an important part of Kirkuk and we want the best for Kirkuk. We extend a hand of friendship to the Turkmen, Arab, Chaldean, Assyrian, and all religions. This website is the website of all artists, writers, and intellectuals, and a politician in Kirkuk. All Kirkuk people and communities can publish their views and opinions. Kirkuk TV is the website of those who care about Kirkuk, the website of Kurds, Turkmens, Arabs, Chaldeans, and Assyrians, and the website of those whose voices do not reach anywhere. Therefore, we are talking to all those who want to serve Kirkuk.

It is a website for dialogue between nations, between different cultures, between different religions, and all the directions and dimensions that believe in pluralism and diversity. It is a website for introducing Kurdish history and culture to the world. Gender Equality is a website for the protection of individual rights.
