Best known for her variety streaming and gaming content, Kim currently holds the world record as the most subscribed female streamer on Twitch, surpassing the previous record of 52,992 subs held by Sintica on November 18, 2021.[1]
Career[edit]
Kim started streaming due to the encouragement from two of her friends and fellow streamers AriaSaki and Disguised Toast. She began her Twitch streaming career in May of 2020, where she grew in popularity streaming her Minecraft gameplay and reactions.
In the latter months of 2020, Kim and Disguised Toast introduced their friends to the newly popular game Among Us.[2] She frequently streamed gameplay of Among Us alongside many other streamers and celebrities including Valkyrae, Sykkuno, Corpse Husband, Pokimane, Bretman Rock, and more.
More recently, Kim has spent most of her time streaming Valorant and in the "Just Chatting" variety category. Despite only streaming for a year and a half, Kim has already crossed the 400,000 follower threshold and continues to grow her audience.[3]
She has also collaborated with and appeared in videos created by content house OfflineTV, including the videos "Ludwig Sues OfflineTV" and "OfflineTV $25,000 Squid Game in Real Life" which each have over 2 million views.[4][5]
Subathon[edit]
In November of 2021, Kim began an uncapped "subathon" stream to celebrate her birthday. The subathon consisted of a constant stream of her life with a running clock dictating how much longer the stream would run. Every additional subscription to her Twitch channel added fifteen seconds to the timer. Streamer Ludwig Ahgren had previously attempted the first uncapped subathon earlier in March 2021, which resulted in the highest all-time subscriber record on Twitch. On November 18th, the ninth day of her subathon, she broke the world record for the most subscribers ever achieved by a female Twitch streamer.[6][7] This achievement placed her in the top 5 active Twitch subscribers on the site alongsideCriticalRole, xQc, Gaules, and Nickmercs.[8] The subathon is still ongoing.
Personal Life[edit]
Prior to streaming, Kim worked in a financial role handling health insurance at a doctor's office.[9]
