The Klaxon CS8 is a Dual-tone multi-frequency signaling Civil defense siren built mainly by Klaxon from the 1950s up to 2004. These sirens make the same sound as other dual-tone sirens, however, these have a shutter built into the siren making a "hi-low-hi-low" sound when the siren is in operation, hence the different shape and the name given to it "CS"
