Kodla Moth is a Heritage temple of Bangladesh at Bagerhat. Kodla Moth is located in the village of Ayuddha and is an example of the Shikhara style of temples in Bengal. It is also popularly known as "Ayuddha Moth".

Architecture[edit]

The significance of the temple lies in the style of architecture. This temple has a significant role in the developing phase of Shikhara temples in Bengal. The facade treatment and decoration is one of it's main attractions. The high pyramidal structure is composed of parallel horizontal lines made of terracotta. In plan, the Kodla Moth consists of a 3.048 square meter chamber with 2.74 meter thick walls. It has three entrances on each side, except the northern side. The main doorway faces south. The arches on the doorway are of the corbelled type but the pendentives are built with true pointed arches which support the semi-circular dome inside.
