KOKUYO Co., Ltd. is a company that manufactures and sells stationery, office furniture, and office equipment. The brand message is "Inspiration is good." In addition, "Kokuyo no Yokoku" is also used in commercials. Origin of trade name
The founder, Zentaro Kuroda, named it "national honor" to honor his hometown of Etchu (Toyama Prefecture). However, the old font "Kuni" was used.

- 1905 (Meiji 38) – Zentaro Kuroda opens the "Kuroda Cover Shop", which manufactures the covers of Japanese-style books.
