Kolkata Symphony Orchesta (KSO) had its first performance at Kala Mandir on 20 April 2018. The second concert was held at the Taj Bengal Crystal Room on 22 April, 2018.[1]

Kolkata Symphony Orchestra is founded and conducted by Sanjib Mondol, who was earlier the conductor of Calcutta Chamber Orchestra and founder, conductor of the Kolkata Youth Orchestra.[2][3][4][5]

Kolkata got back its own legacy of Western Classical Music and Symphony Orchestra after 40 years since the existence of Calcutta Symphony Orchestra, last conducted by Bernard Jacob.[6][7][8]
