Koozai (pronounced: kooz-eye) is an ISO 9001 certified, digital marketing agency based in Park Gate, Southampton, UK and Covent Garden, London, UK.[1] Founded by Ben Norman in 2006, the company specializes in a number of digital services, including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), paid search,[2] content marketing and social media management.[3] The agency has a strong online presence, including a regularly updated digital marketing blog and a video guide section, as well as numerous downloadable whitepapers and digital resources.[4][5]

Koozai, formally known as Impact Media,[6] was founded on February 21st 2006 by SEO Consultant Ben Norman.[7] The company rebranded as Koozai in 2011, and proceeded to launch a new website and TV section to go alongside the rebranding. The name Koozai means ‘The Power Of Original Thought’.[8] The original word was created to help the company differentiate themselves in a competitive marketplace.[9]

Since rebranding, the digital marketing company has grown to include 20+ SEO, PPC and Content Marketing professionals, and has been featured in the popular news media such as Sky News, Time (magazine),[6] BBC2,[7] Guardian Online,[10] Daily Mail[11] and Virgin Entrepreneur.[12] The brand also has a strong presence on industry relevant blogs, contributing features to marketing websites such as Econsultancy,[13] Moz[14] and State of Digital.[15]

The agency’s central business model is focused on results-driven Digital Marketing.[16] As a certified Google Partner,[17] Koozai offers a wide range of online services. They also offer a Partner Reward Scheme, offering clients 15% from referrals every month.[18]

Culture[edit]

Koozai offer a number of benefits to employees, including flexible working hours, paid holiday on Birthdays, free food on the first day of every month and ‘onesie days’ so people can work from home.[19] The company use a CO2 Neutral website, and offer a green reward scheme to reward those travelling to work by any means other than their motor vehicle.[20]

  • DADI Awards 2013 - Koozai won the award for Best In-house Website or Campaign for Koozai.com.[21]
  • Transform Awards 2013 – Koozai’s company rebrand won silver for Best Rebrand of a Digital Property.[22]
  • Interactive Media Awards 2012 - Koozai were awarded ‘Best in Class’ in the ‘Financial Services’ category at the Interactive Media Awards.
  • Some Comms Awards 2012 - The Koozai blog and Koozai TV won the award for Best Blog.
  • European Search Awards 2012 - Koozai won the award for Best Use of Search – Finance and were shortlisted for Best SEO Campaign.[23]
  • Web Award 2012 – Koozai won the Blog Standard of Excellence for the Koozai blog and Marketing Standard of Excellence for the Koozai website.
