Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) is a major South Korean shipbuilding, offshore, industrial and defence group and holding company based in Seoul, which offers its services to both military and civil sector.
It was founded as a sub-holding company spun off from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) when HHI started a bid on Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in 2019.[2]
Its predecessor Hyundai Heavy Industries was incorporated on 23 March 1972 and is headquartered in Ulsan, South Korea.
The company is listed on the Korea Exchange and is a component of KOSPI Index.
