Kou-o
Kou-o : Goa
God: The almighty God which Khiamniungans of Noklak district, Nagaland, India use to refer.[1] The term Kou-o[2] was a supernatural being which was an indispensable part of rituals conducted for worship. [3] The Khiamnungan believe in one supreme God above all deities. They call Kou-o the supreme deity. They regard that the sun and the moon are representatives of God.[4] The word Kou-o is spelled Goüh, Gou-üh, Goa,[5]kooa due to lack of consistency in script. Today, Kou-o refers to Almighty God, the Christian God.[6]
