Kouwenhoven was a train station along the Bay Ridge Branch of the Long Island Rail Road.[1] The station opened in 1893, at Kings Highway and East 53rd Street. The station closed and was subsequently removed with the end of passenger service on May 14, 1924.[2] As of July 2021, the tracks remain active with freight activity operated by the New York and Atlantic Railway.
