The Kreuz Barnim (German: Autobahndreieck Kreuz Barnim), until 2013 known as (Autobahndreieck Schwanebeck) is a Directional T/Half-cloverleaf in the German state Brandenburg in the Metropolitan region Berlin/Brandenburg.
The Interchange connects the Bundesautobahn 10 (Berliner Ring) mit der A11 (Stettin–Berlin), the B2 coming from Berlin to the Berlin Beltway A10. [1]
Geography
The interchange lies in the municipal area of Panketal im Landkreis Barnim. The nearby cities and villages are Ahrensfelde, Bernau bei Berlin, Werneuchen, Zepernick as well as the parts Pankow, Lichtenberg und Marzahn-Hellersdorf. Nearby parts of the village are Schwanebeck, Birkholz, Lindenberg und Blumberg. The interchange lies 15 km northeast of the centre of Berlin.
History

The interchange that was built between June 6, 1935 and March 1936 as Stettiner Abzweig the road ran from junktion Berlin-Weißensee over the interchange 4 km on to what is now the A11.
Other names for the interchange were: Stettiner Dreieck, Penkuner Abzweig, Abzweig Prenzlau and Dreieck Schwanebeck.
Reconstruction into Kreuz Barnim
The Autobahndreieck was, due to the Verkehrsprojekts Deutsche Einheit Nr. 11, in six parts reconstructed between 2011 and 2013 from the former Dreieck Schwanebeck rebuilt into the present Kreuz.
