Krishna Charit Manas is an epic poem composed in Hindi by Late Shri Gocharya ji (1939-2012) . It is the outcome of a lifetime's devotion of Shri Gocharyaji for 40 years (during 1972 to 2012). It contains a full life description of Lord Krishna in poetic form. The Author has ensured to maintain the historical facts and referred to over 40 reference granths, a list of which is given on the last page of each part.

It is divided into 3 parts:

Born on April 18, 1939, in a small village of Uttar Pradesh, named Ramnagar, Tehsil Dibai, Distt Bulandshahr, UP, India.
His Father, Shri Janaki Prasad Lodhi, was a soft-spoken ordinary peasant (Farmer), and his mother, Shrimati Haripirya Devi, was a peace-loving housewife.

He had three brothers and three sisters. He married Shrimati Bhagwan Devi in 1957. He was blessed with two daughters and two sons.

Educational Qualification

  1. M.A. (English) from Agra University.
  2. M.A. (Sociology) from Aligarh Muslim University
  3. M.Ed from Himachal University (Shimla)

He learned poetry, Astrology, and Palmistry from Guru Shri Shankar Lal Pandaji.

He was an English teacher in a Govt school in New Delhi, India, and retired as Vice-Principal. Apart from reading and research, doing something for society was his passion. He was a social worker as well. He held various positions in the Lodhi Kshatriya Mahasabha, India. His favourite reading topics were the Vedas, Purāṇas, Upaniṣhads, and History.
