Ksenia Sergeevna Shoygu (Russian: Ксения Сергеевна Шойгу, born 10 January 1991 in Moscow, Russia) is a founder and head of HeroRace. She is the youngest daughter of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoygu.
Biography
Ksenia Shoygu was born on January 10, 1991, in Moscow to Sergey Shoygu and businesswoman Irina Antipina. In 2013, she graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). During her education at MGIMO, Ksenia studied International economic relations[1]. She chose the topic of her dissertation, «Foreign direct investment». Ksenia gives a course of lectures for graduate students of MGIMO (U) MFA of Russia.
Ksenia is among the pioneers of the OCR movement in Russia[2].
In 2013, Ksenia organized the first obstacle race in Russia, HeroRace, together with her friends. The race covers two different location types: military training grounds (under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Defence) and civil locations. Its program also includes special corporate days, encouraging fee-based participation from business community representatives.
During Ksenia Shoygu's leadership, the sporting event reached the national and international level: HeroRace was first held in Azerbaijan[3][4] and Germany [5].
The successful holding of HeroRace led to the creation of the HeroLeague team by Ksenia Shoygu, which develops and promotes amateur and professional sports in Russia[6]. Among the most popular sporting events are various formats of HeroRace: the first All-Russian half-marathon with a synchronous start, «Zabeg», and the obstacle course «Arena of Heroes» [7].

- Ksenia speaks English and Chinese, and is learning Arabic.
- She starred in an episodic role in Burnt by the Sun 2: Citadel by Nikita Mikhalkov[8].
- Ksenia’s older sister, Yulia Shoygu, is Vice-President of the Russian Psychological Society[9].
- Ksenia enjoys sports tourism, singing, dancing, and jogging (she ran a half marathon (21.1 km) in St. Petersburg in 2018 and participated in the Singapore Marathon (42 km 195 m)[10].
