Kumesh Aroomoogan is an entrepreneur, business executive, and the co-founder and CEO of the data science company Accern.[1][2][3]

Career[edit]

During his time as a student at Pace University, Aroomoogan co-founded several entrepreneurial marketing and advertising ventures including BrandingScholars and Auxral.[4] While in the process of completing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Aroomoogan began working at the SIFMA Foundation which provides financial education programs. He then moved on to work within equity research at the Wall Street investment bank Citigroup, after which he joined the Ford Foundation as a general accountant.[5]

In 2014, immediately prior to completing his degree, Aroomoogan co-founded Accern with Dr. Anshul Vikram Pandey. Accern is a text analytics platform powered by artificial intelligence, producing trading, investment, and research insights.[6][7] In 2017, their company had raised a total of $3.3 million.[8][9][1]

In 2018, Aroomoogan and Pandey were featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Enterprise Technology category.[10][11]
