Kurt Grüng (born 30 April 1979) is a Norwegian South African artist, best known for his haunting nòiresque[2] and surrealist black & white photography also early abstract Bauhaus inspired art and mixed media Dadaist style art. Themes that he is most commonly working with are the philosophy of Death & Nihilism.
Photography Techniques[edit]
Grüng is working with an array of Antiquarian Avant-Garde Art & Processes[3] but mainly working with the large format wet plate[4] collodion process as his preferred choice (a photography process created in 1851 by Frederick Scott Archer).
Abstract Art[edit]
Kurt Grüng's abstract compositions pays a lot of resemblance to early Abstract movements such as Dadaism, Futurism, Cubism, Modernist, Minimal, Constructivism. Working with mixed media collages, oil on Canvas and paper.
