Kusambuk

Kusambuk is an area located between Yangoru and Kubalia in the Yangoru-Sausia District of East Sepik Province. This area, which is known locally as Tuonduo is made up of the tribes of Sufonduo, Kinienieng, Hanya Yehimbolye, Harua, Miamb'woro (Niakandogum), Wamaian, Inahombi, H'pma Yehimbolye, Numie Solyi, and Hagama. These tribes refers to themselves as Tuonduo, which in their local dilect means of Man. The Tuonduo people speak the Pwi H'rk Hundie (Pwi=speak: Hr'k=sound: Hundie=Language). Kusambuk area also comprised of several villages to the south which are known locally as Sause. The Sause people are those who live in the villages of Haripmo, Kiniambo and Makambu. The Sause speaks the M'bli Hr'k Hundie.

The Pwi Hr'k Hundie and The M'bli Hr'k Hundie are two distinct dialects of the Duo (N'du) Language of the East Sepik Province.

Today Kusambuk is made of the villages of Sufonduo, Kinienieng, Huongung (Yekimbolye 1), Yekimbolye 1, Miamb'woro (party of Nikandogum), Wange, (party of Nikandogum), Parih'ng (party of Nikandogum), Kesengi (part of Kinienieng), Nikandogum, Harua, Eringuaria (part of Harua), Inahombi, Yekimbolye 2, Wamaian, Hovindogum (part of Wamaian), Numie Solyi, Hagama, Inges, Maringe, Morihombi, Haripmo, Kesimba (part of Haripmo), Kiniambu and Makambu.

The population of kusambuk is estimated to be around 2300 people.
