KwikBoost

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

KwikBoost is an American charging technology company founded in 2010.[1][2]

History[edit]

The company was founded by Paul Mecca and Joe Mecca after designing a branded charging kiosk for the American Airlines Center.[3]

In 2012, KwikBoost began selling the first mobile phone charging station on the market.[3] Many universities began adopting KwikBoost charging stations for their students this same year.[3][4]

Later, KwikBoost introduced a locker for storing individual devices.[5][6]

Campuses who had purchased the lockers reported that rather than leave their locked devices, students preferred to stand by the stations and wait as they charged.[4]

In June, KwikBoost acquired Brightbox, a competing charging company.[7]

In September 2018, KwikBoost was ranked #3376 on Inc Magazine's annual 5000 list.[8]
