Kylee Bertrand (born March 15, 1997) is a footballer who plays as a centre midfielder for Canadian League1 Ontario club Woodbridge Strikers SC. Born in Canada, she represents the Dominica women's national team.
Early life
Bertrand played youth soccer with North Mississauga SC, winning the Ontario Cup in 2011 and 2014.[1] In 2014, she also won the Canadian U18 national title with North Mississauga.[2]
College career
In 2015, Bertrand began attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she played for the women's soccer team. As a freshman, she earned Third Team All-Central Region honours, becoming the first freshman in program history to be named to an all-region team.[3] She was also named a First Team All-Great American Conference (GAC),[4] named to the GAC All-Tournament Team, a First Team All-OklahomaSports.net, and a two-time GAC Defensive Player of the Week.[5] In 2016, she had to medically redshirt, returning in 2017.[6] In 2018, she was named to the All-GAC Second Team.[7]
Club career
In 2015 and 2016, she played for North Mississauga SC in League1 Ontario,[8][9] winning the 2015 League Cup.[10]
Bertrand has played for Woodbridge Strikers in Canada.[11][12][13][14]
International career
Bertrand represented Dominica at the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship qualification.[15] She capped at senior level during two CONCACAF W Championship qualifications (2018 and 2022) and the 2019 Women Windward Islands Tournament.[16]
Personal
She is the younger sister of fellow Dominica international player Kira Bertrand.[17]
