L'amour Supreme is a street artist, muralist and graphic designer from the Bronx, New York. Known for his work in streetwear and vinyl art toy design, L'amour was discovered as a teen by the well know designer Pushead.[1]
L'amour was fascinated with horror movies and comic books at an early age and[2] his style is heavily influenced by hip hop, punk and pop culture from the 1980s and 1990s.[3]
Murals[edit]
L'amour is a prolific muralist who has been commissioned to paint his murals on walls all over world. Cities such as Cincinnati[4], New York City[5], Worcester[6], Jersey City[7], San Antonio[8], Los Angeles[9], San Francisco[10], Austin[11], Miami[12], Buenos Aires[13], Paris[14], Tokyo[15], Sydney[16], Taipei[17], Oslo [18], and others.
Collaborations[edit]
L'amour is a frequent collaborator with Mishka NYC, Nike, Fools Gold, Element, SpongeBob SquarePants, Nickelodeon, MF Doom and The Chainsmokers.[19]
Czarface[edit]
L'amour Supreme is a co-creator of the character Czarface.[20] Czarface is a collaboration between Boston-based underground hip-hop duo 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan MC Inspectah Deck.[21]
Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour[edit]
Lamour did the visual animations for Miley Cyrus's Bangerz Tour.[22]
Vinyl Art Toys and Kaiju[edit]
L'amour has designed art toys and Kaiju for many popular toy brands including Kid Robot, Medicom, Super 7, Black Book Toys and more.
Mongolian Created by Lamour Supreme, Cosmo Liquid and Super7. Mongolion stands 5" tall and was first released 2009.[23]
Boogie Man Created by Lamour Supreme with Cure Toys. A kaiju figure first released in 2009. He stands 7" tall.[24]
Bootleg Kaiju This was a collaboration piece between Mishka and Adfunture and was sculpted by Lamour Supreme. In each set, 1 body and 2 heads were included. First released in 2009.[25]
Baby Huey made in collaboration with Mishka[26]
The Beast Created by Mishka and Lamour Supreme and produced with Blackbook Toys.[27]
Warhead Created by Mishka and Lamour Supreme and produced with Blackbook Toys. The Warhead is a sofubi figure standing 5" tall. The piece is designed to be wielded by The Beast, where it can be held in his hand by magnets.[28]
Kong Created by Mishka and Lamour Supreme with Blackbook Toys. Kong is a micro-run sofubi standing 12.6" tall.[29]
