LCT Lawyers, founded in 2006, is full-service law firm in Vietnam and is one of the largest local law firms in the country. The firm's head office is located in Ho Chi Minh City. It has recently expanded to open offices in Hanoi and Danang.
LCT Lawyers provides legal services to both local clients and international clients who have business interests in Vietnam in a variety of corporate matters.
History[edit]
LCT Lawyers was established in 2006 as a local Vietnamese law firm.
In 2008, LCT Lawyers established a joint venture, under the regional alliance of Allen & Gledhill LLP of Singapore and Zaid Ibrahim & Co. of Malaysia, to form AGZI LCT Limited. AGZI LCT Limited, being the first joint venture law firm in Vietnam, was earmarked to focus on the provision of legal services in the ASEAN region.[1]
However, during the effects of the global financial crisis, the strategy of the alliance changed significantly, leading to the firm's decision to develop independently. This decision led the firm to open up and garner affiliations with major law firms, including those, according to the its website, located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.
Over the years, the firm had continued to gain prominence through its involvement in significant projects such as the Dung Quat Refinery, the East-West Highway and Thu Thiem Tunnel,[2] the Thu Thiem New Urban Area,[3] advisory work for Bitexco Group on the Nho Que Hydroelectric Plant.[4] and the establishment of Hong Leong Bank Vietnam.
Today, LCT Lawyers has grown to include over 20 professionals, including 3 partners.
