LD Products is an American online retailer of printer supplies and one of the largest in the United States. The company was founded in 1999 by Aaron Leon, and it is headquartered in Long Beach, California, United States.

History[edit]

LD Products was founded in 1999 by Aaron Leon, while he was a student in University of Southern California. Since its foundation, the company was collaborating with the leading e-commerce provider of discount ink and toner cartridges in the United States for printers such as Canon Inc., Seiko Epson, Hewlett-Packard and Lexmark.[3]

In 2006, the company moved in a 25,000-square-foot industrial and office building in Long Beach, California.[3] However, in 2010, LD Products began working on a new 110,000-square-foot building In Long Beach for the new headquarters and distribution facilities.[4] In 2012, They move into the new headquarters.

Awards[edit]

The company was awarded Bizrate's Platinum Circle of Excellence for Customer Service for eight years.[5] The company is also a Yahoo 5 Star certified merchant. In 2011, LD Products was ranked #34 in the list of the fastest growing companies in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal, with 125 employees and US$66.1 million in revenue.[1]

Environmental[edit]

In 2012, the company announced its new Long Beach headquarters building has achieved the top ranking of energy conservation and environmentally friendly structure. On June 21, 2012, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) officially recognized and aproved the building, which houses the company's corporate offices and warehouse, as the first new construction commercial building to be awarded LEED Platinum status according to the council's more stringent 2009 v. 3 regulations.[6]
