LH Lift is a company owned by the Viikki family. The headquarters of LH Lift is located in Kuusa, Finland. Product manufacturing, sales, R&D, purchasing, prototyping and quality checking is located in Kuusa. Along with the Kuusa site, LH Lift has product manufacturing, quality checks and purchasing in Ningbo, China. LH Lift works closely with several OEM and After Market companies such as Valtra, John Deere, and more recently New Holland tractor companies providing them front linkages and rear hitches.

History[edit]

LH Lift has focused on tractor parts since it was established. The company was originally called Laukaan Hitsaustyö, which means Laukaa’s weldingwork in English. The first product, a towing hook for the Valmet 502 tractor, was made in a workshop built in a cowshed. Now, almost 40 years later, the company has a factory standing next to the cowshed, the name has changed, and the products are delivered all over the world.

Development from Laukaan Hitsaustyö to the current LH Lift Oy started in the early 1990s. At that time, LH Lift decided to expand their operations by building a subcontracting chain to improve the availability of LH Lift parts. This proved worthwhile as the production of three-point linkage parts for Valmet tractors was transferred to LH Lift’s Finnish unit in 1993. For this, the company received the Avainteko prize awarded monthly by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Finland for outstanding achievements. A few years later, the President of Finland awarded LH Lift the Innofinland prize for the development of three-point linkage parts for tractors.

In Finland, LH Lift made heavy investments in manufacturing equipment and developed an entire production chain. Quality standards (ISO 9001 certified quality management system and ISO 14001 certified environmental management system) were set for the operations to ensure the consistency of product quality, product durability, and customer satisfaction. An OHSAS 18001 certified health and safety management system was also implemented in order to take care of LH Lift personnel. These systems created the basis for the current LH Lift model of operation. Pivoting front linkage provides access to international markets in 2007 The year 2007 was significant in many ways for the history of the company. LH Lift was awarded the esteemed Agritechnica Silver Medal in 2007 for the development of the turning LHLink front linkage. In the same year, LH Lift established the Chinese subsidiary LH Lift Ningbo Oy for managing parts production under the control of LH Lift. The idea from the very beginning was that the Chinese subsidiary would follow the same work processes to the same standard as the Finnish plant. The Agritechnica prize gave LH Lift wide exposure and the development of the Chinese plant helped to ensure the availability of high-quality parts which were in high demand. After 2007, LH Lift entered into several significant partnerships in places such as Europe, China, and India.
