LINSTOR is a configuration management software tool for storage on Linux systems that can be used on physical equipment or in cloud, virtual, or hybrid environments. LINSTOR is open source software, developed by LINBIT, developers of DRBD, and originally released in 2018.[1] LINSTOR is notable for being among the Linux Foundation's SODA Foundation "Eco" projects[2] that support open source software and standards for data autonomy.[3]

LINSTOR makes use of Linux kernel modules and storage layers, such as LVM and ZFS, to present replicated block storage devices to users and applications and includes integration drivers for Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenNebula, and others.
