Lamin Tamba is a British actor and producer of Gambian origin. Born and raised in rural The Gambia, he later moved to the United Kingdom and developed a career in film, television and theatre.
Tamba has appeared in a range of British and international productions, including Edge of Tomorrow, The Legend of Tarzan, Dolittle, Bodyguard, A Moving Image, South African Spook Hunter and G.O.D.TECH.[1]
Early life and education
Tamba was born and raised in rural The Gambia, West Africa, in a large family.[2]
He later moved to the United Kingdom, where he pursued higher education before beginning a professional acting career.
Tamba subsequently trained at the Identity School of Acting in London between 2014 and 2015.[3]
His acting profile lists English as his native language and also notes knowledge of languages including Krio and Wolof.[4]

Tamba began pursuing acting professionally after moving to the United Kingdom.

Tamba appeared in the feature film A Moving Image, a British drama exploring themes of identity, gentrification and contemporary urban life.
South African Spook Hunter
In 2018, Tamba appeared in South African Spook Hunter as Papa Kamalu.[7]
Africa's Great Civilizations
Tamba portrayed Mansa Musa in the television documentary series Africa's Great Civilizations.[8]
G.O.D.TECH
Tamba appears in the British dystopian science-fiction feature film G.O.D.TECH, written, directed and produced by David John Jeffery.
He plays Amos Taiwo and is also associated with the role of Father Soma in the wider G.O.D.TECH franchise.[9]
The first G.O.D.TECH feature centres on a future global political system known as the World Parliament and a technological programme combining artificial intelligence, genetics and digital consciousness.
The film also stars Eric Roberts, Jama Dandy, Jessica Shuey, Kent Goldfinch, Bella Cai, Nicole McClean, Abid Shamim PM, Dani Raza and Gabriela Dubiago.
Tamba's character forms part of the religious and resistance elements within the film's wider storyline.
The feature entered an international festival and screening campaign following completion.
G.O.D.TECH 2: Battlefield of the Mind
Tamba is also associated with G.O.D.TECH 2: Battlefield of the Mind, the sequel to the first film.
In the sequel, his character Father Soma plays a larger role within the continuing conflict between religious resistance and the technological regime.
The sequel entered pre-production following completion of the first film.[10]
