Lana Zak
Lana Zak is an American journalist and news anchor. She is the evening and weekend anchor for CBSN.[1][2]
Early life and education[edit]
Zak was born December 28, 1977[3] and grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa, where she graduated high school in 1996[4]. Her graduating year, she was named one of the high school's two Young Journalists of the Year. [5] She attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate school, where she served as president of the UI student government.[6][7] She'd been the first Asian-American woman to hold the post. The second wouldn't come for nearly 20 years.[8] As a college junior in 1999, she was awarded a Truman Scholarship, awarding her $30,000 for her graduate studies at the Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. [9] She also was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in 2000 to study and research in South Korea.[10]

Zak was a member of the White House Press Corps for ABC News.[1]
Personal life[edit]
She is married to charter school founder Seth Andrew. They have three children.[11]
